I’m a California native that moved across the country with my family 16 years ago. When I hit the mountains I fell in love. I have been working as a veterinary nurse for 7 years and found a second love in veterinary medicine. I am currently a full-time student at Western Carolina University working toward my B.S in Biology and then off to vet school. Though I love day practice veterinary work I feel like I have really found my niche in emergency medicine and have been at R.E.A.C.H. since November 2010. I also have a great interest in wildlife veterinary medicine and spend quite a bit of time at the WNC Nature Center helping out wherever I can. I have two cats that are the loves of my life and I enjoy painting, sculpting, mural work, playing guitar, writing, and anything creative that I can get my hands on.
