Hello! My name is Lori Hyatt. I am a Registered Veterinary Technician here at R.E.A.C.H. Emergency Animal Hospital. I graduated from Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College from the Veterinary Medical Technology program in 2014. I am a native to the Asheville area and have always loved the mountains. My boyfriend is currently serving oversees and when he returns home we hope to stay in the Asheville area. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it be running, hiking or swimming, I love it all! In addition to my human family, I have an assortment of animal family members, including 3 dogs, 3 turtles, 2 cats and 2 hermit crabs.
I love being a part of a veterinary team that offers the best care possible to our patients and enjoy getting to share my passion for animals at REACH. I am particularly interested in surgery, anesthesia, post-operative care, and providing a low stress environment for our patients.
I am also very interested in wildlife, and plan to start volunteering with the Western North Carolina Nature Center in the near future. Over the years I have always loved visiting different zoos and wildlife sanctuaries and I hope to someday have the opportunity to work as a zoo veterinary technician.
