Rebecca, RVT

From the minute I could walk I began my journey to veterinary medicine. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina where my nickname was “Ellie May” because of my love for animals. I aspired to be a veterinarian but after I worked in my first vet office at the age of 16 I realized I was born to be a vet tech! In 2011, I moved to Asheville so I could attend AB Tech. I graduated in 2013 with a degree in veterinary technology. Prior to my being employed at R.E.A.C.H. I had never worked in an emergency hospital but I quickly fell in love with the fast paced and satisfying work. I look forward to improving as a vet tech by learning from all of my wonderful coworkers. I hope to become specialized in Emergency and Critical Care one day. My furry family consists of Oliver, my old man Chihuahua mix, and Minion, my kitty. One of my passions is raising awareness and compassion to bully breeds that are often misunderstood. I would love to work with a rescue or rehabilitation program in the future.
