I have been working in the veterinary field for as long as I have been able to work, since 2000... which is hard to believe for me, as it hasn't seemed that long!   I have seen many things change during this time and many advances in the medicine practiced for our companion friends & family members.  I have worked at all types of practices in 3 different states during my career; regular day practice facilities, specialty/referral hospitals, and emergency hospitals.  My true passion, however, remains emergency medicine.  I enjoy helping those animals (and their people too!) when they are most in need of my experience, knowledge and compassion.   That being said, I have been lucky enough to be welcomed back at R.E.A.C.H. on 2 occasions now, after pursuing other ventures and realizing that emergency medicine was really where I belonged.  I can happily say that I have been at R.E.A.C.H. for the better part of 9 years now, which says something about it as a work place!  The average length of employment for an animal ER technician is about 2-3 years the last time I checked.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time outside as possible!  My favorite activities include photography, painting, camping, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family.
