Dr. Catherine Ashe

I am an East Tennessee native. I attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation in 2008, I spent a year at the Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergency and Referral in Chattanooga, Tennessee completing a small animal internal medicine, emergency, and surgery internship. I then spent 4.5 years as an emergency veterinarian at Cabarrus Emergency Veterinary Clinic just north of Charlotte. I am thrilled to join R.E.A.C.H., as it marries my two loves - emergency medicine and being back in the mountains of Western NC.

My special interests include exotic animal medicine (especially birds), critical care, and management of sepsis.

When not working, I spend time with my two daughters and my husband. My hobbies include cooking, reading anything I can get my hands on, writing, live music shows, and spending time with friends and family.
