Brittany, RVT

I grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and decided to make the move to Asheville in 2007. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had my heart set on the Veterinary Technician program at A-B Tech, and for the first time in a while, I loved school and wanted to learn as much as I could. I graduated from the Vet Tech program in 2011 and then spent 3 years working in private practice, while also working towards becoming certified to rehabilitate and release local wildlife (another one of my passions).
In 2014, I decided to move to Knoxville, TN to work as an ICU/ER technician at The University of TN College of Veterinary Medicine. It was my first true exposure to Emergency & Critical Care medicine, and I fell in love with learning all over again. In 2016, I decided to move back home to Asheville to be closer to friends and family, and am furthering my career in emergency medicine.
I currently have a small zoo of my own, which includes 2 Lab mixes, 3 cats, and 2 parakeets. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors hiking with my dogs, camping, gardening, playing any instrument I can get my hands on, photography, painting, bonfires, and being with friends/family.
