Born and raised in the Raleigh area, I am excited to be living in and exploring the mountains of Asheville now. First thinking about pursuing a career in human medicine, I attended school at East Carolina University where I received a Bachelors in Biology. During my junior year there, I worked at the local animal shelter and discovered my love and interest in helping animals in need. AB Tech seemed to be the perfect fit for studying Veterinary Technology, so I made the trek across the state with one cat in tow (Raja, the prince). During school, I worked at Charlotte Street Animal Hospital to further my learning experience. I also welcomed another cat, Sullivan aka Sully, into my home. Finishing up school, I did my externship at REACH and fell in love with emergency medicine. I am now a fully certified Technician and delighted to be at REACH!
